Computer training for the children of women members
Reading the signs of the time, computer training camps were initiated for the children of the women members. Basic initiation in operating the computer including typing and handling the mouse is given, and programs like MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point and Internet Explorer are included in the practical training schedule. Special attention is also given to school dropouts of the locality.

Story two · Child labour eradication
Forty of fifty children went back to regular school
ASA’s child labour eradication programme was established in 1996 with the support of the state government under the Child Remediation Act. The first child labour school was started in Trichy, and later expanded to four schools. Many successful students are continuing their regular graduation and a few have completed their education in colleges. Students are also trained in extracurricular activities like tailoring, arts and sports.

Story three · Annadhanam
Nearly two lakh people fed at Annadhava Koodam
Annadhanam is one of the noblest and greatest charities of all. Feeding the hungry is the greatest blessing to humanity, and this is the motto behind the Annadhanam scheme. ASA provides regular Annadhanam to the destitute, poor and elderly on a daily basis, and an Annadhanam centre has been established in the form of Annadhava Koodam, specially meant for feeding the neediest people.
